Bi-Monthly Meeting
January 3^rd, 2008

President Scott, KCØBHE, called the meeting to order at 1907 hours in the EOC. Members present were, KCØBHE Scott, KDØACL Roger, KBØZIA Jake, KA4CKR Tim, KØSFV Larry, and WØGUY Bill.

It was brought to the club’s attention that the GAP Challenger vertical antenna at the EOC held up through the ice storm, but that the radio will not tune up on 40 meters again. This was the reason for trying to lower the antenna several months back and was the reason it got bent while doing so.  It was working after the replacement of the bent section, however, it is now not tuning again.

Bill discussed the winter storm event. FEMA has done the Preliminary Damage Assessments for Public Agencies. United Way is working on clean-up crews. Bill suggested that everyone report to Tom WØUY about their experiences and we can capture some lessons learned and best practices.

The meeting was adjourned at 2001 hours.
