The Emergency Radio Club Of Reno County (ERCRC) was formed by Amateur Radio operators who have completed Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training provided by Reno County Office of Emergency Management, Hutchinson, Kansas. At this time there are no annual dues for membership in the ERCRC. Club members must have a strong interest in emergency communications. While not required, CERT training provided by the Reno County Office Of Emergency Management and ARES training, provided on-line by the ARRL, is highly recommended to those who want to participate as members of ERCRC. For information or questions about joining the Emergency Radio Club Of Reno County email info@wb0eoc.org The primary focus of ERCRC is to provide Amateur Radio communication support for the Reno County Emergency Management office. Support is initiated only upon request from the Emergency Operation Center (EOC). During the first year of it's existence the club has provided communication assistance for the EOC during severe weather, prairie fires, train derailments, Red Cross shelter operations and CERT training. The Emergency Radio Club Of Reno County was formed October 6, 2005 and later applied for a club call sign, KCØVGM was assigned. In January of 2006 the club applied for, and received, the vanity call sign WBØEOC. WBØEOC is the call sign used by Amateur Radio operators in support of Reno County EOC activity.
