Emergency Radio Club of Reno County October 6, 2005 Document of Organization
A. Organization Name: The name of this organization shall be Emergency Radio Club of Reno County (ERCRC)
B. Purpose: The purpose of ERCRC shall be to: a. Promote an awareness of the Amateur Radio Emergency Service with all Amateur Radio Operators in Reno County. b. To hold regular emergency training radio nets and drills c. To provide Amateur Radio Communications for the Reno County Emergency Operation Center when requested. d. To train with local emergency volunteer organizations and to provide them with Amateur Radio Communications when requested. These organizations include but are not limited to: 1. Community Emergency Response Teams 2. American Red Cross 3. Medical Reserve Corps e. Promote activity by Reno County amateurs in Kansas HF nets such as the Weather net and SSB net. f. Encourage members to complete on line emergency communication classes offered by the ARRL .
C. Membership: Membership in ERCRC is open to any person possessing a valid amateur radio license and an interest in emergency communications.
D. Annual Dues: At the time of organization ERCRC shall not collect dues. a. Should a situation arise where club funds are required the Club President may ask the membership to vote on a one time voluntary dues payment to resolve the need for funds. b. A majority of members present at a regular meeting may vote to begin assessing club dues on an annual basis.
E. Meetings: Formal meetings shall be held in odd numbered months on the 1st Thursday of the month. a. Additional meetings may be called at the direction of the club President. b. A directed roll call net will be held each Tuesday evening, except the 2nd Tuesday of the month. The net will meet at 7:30 PM local time on the repeater frequency of 146.07/67 MHz. c. Other meetings and nets maybe held for the purpose of training in emergency traffic drills and procedures.
F. Officers: Initially the club officers are as follows: President: Scott KCØBHE Vice President: Bill WØGUY Secretary: Tim KA4CKR a. An election of officers may be held in November of each year at the monthly meeting if there is a slate of candidates presented to the membership. Any member may present a slate of officers.
G. Club Call Sign and Trustee:
Application will be made for a club call sign to be used
primarily by Amateur Radio Operators at the Reno County EOC located in the Reno
County Law Enforcement Center. The Vanity call sign WBØEOC was received
February 7, 2006.
January 1, 2007: Formal meetings shall be held in odd numbered months on the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
January 1,
2007: On air meetings will be held every Tuesday evening, except the 3rd
Tuesday. The meetings will follow the 8PM February 26, 2007: Other meetings and nets maybe held for the purpose of training in emergency traffic procedures.
February 26,
2007: Application will be made for a club call sign to be used
primarily by Amateur Radio Operators at the Reno County
September 7, 2007: Reference to ERCOR was changed to ERCRC in this
document. A spelling correction was made to the membership line.
December 2007 : Initially the club call sign trustee will be Tom WØUY.
This has been changed to reflect as above. |
