Tactical Call Signs can identify a station's location or its purpose during an event or emergency, regardless of who is operating the station.

Tactical Call Signs allow you to contact a station, or location, with out knowing the call sign of the operator on duty.

Tactical Call Signs should be used for all emergency nets and public service events if there are several stations involved in the net or event.

Station Identification Requirement:  The FCC still requires that you identify your station using you amateur radio call sign at the end of your last transmission or at least once each 10 minutes during continuous transmissions.  Be sure to identify your station with your FCC call sign as you complete each exchange.  See FCC Rules Paragraph 97.119 for further clarification.
