Net Control Script For A Roll Call Net

Preface:  This script is to be used by all stations acting as net control for the Emergency Radio Club of Reno County. Remember that this is a directed net and all communications must be channeled through the NCS.

 

The NCS speaks only the words in black type.

Words in green are procedural reminders, do not read these words aloud.

Words in red type are where you insert your call and name as indicated.

Net Opening: 

Calling the Tuesday evening training net for the Emergency Radio Club Of Reno County. 

Net Control Station for this evenings session of the net is (Your Call Sign and Name).  This is a directed net.

 

The net meets each Tuesday with the exception of the second Tuesday of the month at 7:30PM Central Time on the 146.07/67 MHz repeater.  All Radio Amateurs with a license valid for Two-Meters are encouraged to check into the net. 

 

The purpose of this net is emergency preparedness training and message handling. This is a roll-call net. New comers and late comers will be recognized at the end of the roll call.  

Net Procedure:

Before I call the roll call any stations with traffic or announcements for the net please list your traffic now. 

If traffic or announcements are listed handle the traffic before proceeding with roll call.  When traffic has been handled proceed with the roll call.

 

This is (your call sign) beginning the roll call for the Emergency Radio Club Of Reno County training net.  Call the roll of net stations from the net roster.  Recognize stations as they check in.

 

Are there additional stations with traffic? Recognize stations and handle traffic as necessary

 

Are there any new comers or late comers for the net.?  Recognize stations as necessary, welcome new comers.
